For over 65 years, we have been taking care of individuals and families in need. We provide a wide range of emergency services to ensure their basic needs and maintain their integrity.
39% of our food bank clientele are children under the age of 18. Of those, 80% are under the age of 10.
We provide basic necessities for people in need: food and clothing banks, medication program, material assistance. 27,555 food baskets were distributed in 2019-2020.

378 children participate in our Sports and Recreation Programs, which includes our basketball, hockey and football teams, and various camps.
We have been helping disaster victims since the 1970s. In 2019-2020, we helped 592 victims of fires and other disasters.
We have been working with the Quebec division of the Canadian Red Cross and the Office Municipal d’habitation de Montréal since 2008. In 2018-2019, we helped 811 victims of fires and other disasters.
This past May marks the beginning of our 66th year. Sun Youth was founded in the spring of 1954 by Earl De La Perralle and Sid Stevens, who were 9 and 13 years old. This past year was particularly difficult due to the passing of Earl. In his memory, we continue his work with pride, dedication, empathy and respect.
