FACE OFF!

Every year, the LFA organizes a special event for its summer championship game, having for objective to offer a unique experience to its players while getting money for a charity organization from the community. This year, the game will be held on Sunday, August 25 starting at 5pm, at Notre-Dame College Arena. You will find onsite stands offering souvenirs, cold beer and even hot-dogs and popcorn for your munchies during the game! In addition, you could win one of the many attendance prizes while cheering to the music played by a DJ.

You can reserve your place at info@lfahockey.com and give what you want once at the arena (money or non-perishable food) or make an online donation on the Sun Youth website. 100% of the donations will go directly to Sun Youth, to help their food bank.

A golf tournament hosted by the Salsa Family in memory of the late Matthew Salsa

The Suburban newspaper is hosting a charity ball hockey tournament on Sunday, September 22 at Centropolis Laval. Profits are going to three local charities: Sun Youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island et la Maison de soins palliatifs de Laval. The Laval Rocket and the Montreal Alouettes will also be participating.

A celebration of the 550^th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh Faith. For this occasion, the Montreal Sikh community organizes a traditionnal vegetarian lunch (langar) during which they will present Sun Youth with a substantial financial contribution for the organization's Holiday campaign.

The Cadillac Music Band presents its annual benefit concert for our Holiday campaign on Friday, November 22nd at the Wheel Club (3373 Cavendish, Montréal H4B 2L7) starting at 8pm. Bring your friends for a great evening of tunes you know by heart to sing and dance along to! Tickets are available at the door.

Desjardin's Caisse du Plateau-Mont-Royal organizes its annual benefit concert on Wednesday, December 11th 8 pm at Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The artist preforming this year is popular singer Isabelle Boulay. Admission price is a voluntary contribution ($20 suggested). Payment can be made in cash or by credit card. Doors open at 7 pm and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is organized in collaboration with le Robin des Bois and profits will be distributed to la Fondation du Chaînon, le Refuge des Jeunes de Montréal,  le Santropol Roulant, le Robin des Bois and Sun Youth.

Sun Youth holds one of the largest Christmas basket distributions in the city serving 8000 Families in 8 days. Many large volunteer groups come through to during those 8 days.

Sun Youth will be hosting football training sessions at the Concordia Stingers Dome in NDG, staring Sunday January 19th. The practices are for both returning and new players ages 7-17. The emphasis will be on fun and learning basic football skills under the supervision of our experienced coaching staff. Come out and show us what you got! Join us for a day of golf or an afternoon of cycling on Thursday August 13th 2020 at ELM RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB. All proceeds will be used to support our sports and summer programs for children. Golfers can enjoy the luxurious course of Elm Ridge Country Club and Cyclists can tune up their bikes on site by McW bikes. Cyclists will also receive a cycling jersey and healthy snacks at various stations throughout the ride. They will have access to the clubhouse and pool at Elm Ridge with refreshments at the end of the ride. They will then be joining the golfers for an open bar and cocktails followed by a supper, silent and live auction MC’ed by comedian Joey Elias.   See Golf Tournament/Cyclothon page.

Sun Youth holds oldest continuously running basketball tournament in Montreal, attracting teams from all over the US & Canada. The purpose is to expose Sun Youth players to high level talent and being seen by college recruiters from US & Canada.
