For the last several years, Sun Youth has offered its low income clientele the possibility of obtaining eyeglasses at a reduced price, or free of charge. This service is made possible thanks to the contribution of Essilor, a world renowned ophthalmic products laboratory, and of Philippe Rochette, optician.

This Sun Youth service is made available to low income people not covered by public or private insurance (newly arrived immigrants, new social assistance beneficiaries) or those who are not able to pay the difference between the amount covered under social assistance and the actual cost of the eyeglasses. The decision to help is based on Sun Youth’s evaluation of the person’s financial situation.
