Established in the early 1970’s, Sun Youth’s Crime Prevention Department has established a close working relationship with police forces (including SPVM and the Sûreté du Québec) and with the community. This collaboration has resulted in new approaches to prevention, many of which were unique, not only to Montreal, but to Canada. As with most prevention programs, our goals are education and cooperation among citizens residing in targeted areas.
