Two good Samaritans rewarded for saving a teenager’s life.

Luis Jorge Lafaurie and Ricardo Meneses Cubides, who saved the life of a drowning teenager last July, were honoured today for their courage through Sun Youth’s Good Samaritan program. The ceremony took place at PDQ 7 of the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) in the St. Laurent borough.

The accident occurred in the interior swimming pool of a Côte-Vertu building. Luis Jorge Lafaurie and Ricardo Meneses Cubides, who acted promptly, saved the life of 13 year-old Marko Vijanac and protected a family from psychological trauma.
