Become a Sun Youth Hero!

Once again this year, we will distribute some 5,000 Christmas baskets and nearly as many new toys to children.

On November 3rd, Sun Youth launched its 62nd annual Holiday campaign. Christmas might still be a few weeks away but hundreds of families have already registered for a Holiday basket at Sun Youth.

This Holiday period has its roots in many cultures and is celebrated in different ways through exchanging gifts and sharing meals. It is also one of the Holidays most cherished by children of all ages for it often means Santa Claus will be bringing them presents. For parents, Christmas is an opportunity to teach their children the importance of caring and sharing. For Sun Youth, it means that thousands of underprivileged Montreal families will count on the community’s generosity to brighten their Holidays with enough food to prepare a meal and new toys for their young ones.

Once again, our organization will distribute over 5,000 Christmas baskets and nearly as many new toys to children aged 12 and under. In this way, we hope to give struggling families an opportunity to gather together to live the Holiday spirit and to feel friendship and human warmth. This year, you can contribute to help the community by becoming a Sun Youth Hero. A Sun Youth Hero is someone who contributes to helping the community. It’s easy and you don’t have to wear a cape to make a difference! A small donation can go a long way towards making someone’s life better.

Contributions at this time of year allow us to renew our support to the community during the dark winter months by bringing our beneficiaries a comforting light. Don’t be shy to use the hashtag #syhero to show us your contribution for the community through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and inspire others to do the same.
