Since September 2001, we reward individuals of exceptional bravery who come to the rescue of people in danger, sometimes risking their own lives.
Since the beginning, 66 heroes have been rewarded with gift certificates to stores of their choice and sometimes free meals at various restaurants. The youngest heroes were rewarded with bicycles and helmets, windbreakers or computers.
By recognizing caring and courageous citizens, our program encourages people to exercise self-abstraction and altruism and promotes mutual assistance.
