Mid season update on the Hornets basketball season.
The amateur basketball season is well underway and Sun Youth is obviously part of the action! As we enter the home stretch, every team has a chance of making the playoffs but challenges lay ahead as the Hornets Juvenile Boys must face undefeated reigning champions Park Extension Knights on January 31st.
As for our little guys, the Novice Boys, they started their season with a 3-0 board which is very promising for Sun Youth’s basketball program in general. The Sun’s Bantam Boys have two losses. But since they have clicked, they are not the same team that started the year. In their coaches’ view, they have a real chance to go all the way especially since the Bantam Boys finished as League Champions last year. The Midget girls’ team is also a transformed team from when it started its season. They are now a competitive scrappy team that can give any team in their league a run for their money. Here is an update on how the season is going thus far.
