Since the summer of 2010, Sun Youth offers a new program for young single mothers and their children called “It’s Moms’ Turn”. For one week, young mothers and their children can enjoy the facilities of the summer camp and a host of activities, both fun and educational. The purpose of this week at camp is to provide a rest for young mothers but also enable them to develop friendships with other women in their situation. For children, this is the perfect opportunity to make new friends and to participate in a ton of activities in an enchanting site.
Throughout the week, children can enjoy water sports (swimming, fishing, canoeing) and various other sports both outdoors and indoors. They can also explore the nature surrounding them and be creative in art & crafts workshops and other artistic activities.
As for the mothers, many activities are organized for them: computer workshops, creative writing and also role-playing activities related to their single mother status. There are also activities where mothers and children both participate such as theme days like Halloween or Christmas in Summer for example.
One session is offered for the 2016 summer: from July 18th to July 23rd.
