Sun Youth is sad to say goodbye to our friend and long-time benefactor, Dora Morrow, who passed away on August 17th. The Morrow Family has long been champions of Sun Youth: Mrs. Morrow’s late husband, Avi, was the anonymous Bike Man for 35 years. When Mr. Morrow passed away in 2019, Mrs. Morrow and the Morrow family ensured that the Bike Man’s legacy continued, with 100 deserving children receiving bicycles as recently as this past May. While she preferred to stay in the background, Mrs. Morrow took much delight in seeing the faces of the recipients of the Bike Man’s legacy – just as we were delighted to share the event with her. Thanks to the generosity of the Morrow family, over 2100 children have received bicycles since 1984. On behalf of Sun Youth’s board of directors, staff and the thousands of young people whose lives were touched by their generosity, we extend our deepest condolences to the Morrow family.
Goodbye, Mrs. Morrow!
