A Celebration of Solidarity to Start the School Year

This past weekend, Sun Youth held its annual distribution of school supplies, helping 800 children from underprivileged backgrounds start the school year on the right foot.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, this year’s event took on the feel of a big celebration. Despite record-breaking heat, the atmosphere was full of joy: games, face painting, ice cream, popcorn, and music, turned the day into an unforgettable moment for the children… and their parents.

For us, it is essential that every child looks forward to going to school and feels good there, equipped with the same supplies as their classmates. Offering a fully stocked backpack also means giving them confidence and reminding them that they belong at school.

“This backpack means much more than school supplies. It’s a real breath of fresh air for our family.” — Testimony from a parent on site.

Dozens of volunteers — including teams from AWS, CIM Conseil, CIMA, RBC, and PaySafe, companies committed to our community — contributed to the success of the day. Their energy and smiles played a big role in creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

A huge thank-you to everyone who made this distribution more than just a donation of supplies: it was a true celebration of solidarity.
