Volunteers and public figures help distribute Christmas baskets at Sun Youth.
Several public figures and groups of volunteers bring a concrete and so much needed help in the distribution of Christmas hampers. On distribution day 3, Saturday, December 20, Jacques Chagnon, President of the National Assembly of Quebec and Member of Parliament for Westmount – St. Louis, and members of his entourage, will hand out baskets to the hundreds of expected families and individuals between 10 am and 1 pm.
Other volunteers, namely those from Radio-Canada and the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal, will lend a hand in the afternoon.
Thanks to Loyal Express and Stationnement Montréal, Christmas hampers will be delivered to isolated families and persons. Car2go pursues its commitment till December 24 by driving back home people with reduced mobility and their hamper.
Registrations for Christmas baskets are still accepted. People interested should come to Sun Youth between 9 am to 4 pm with a proof of income, proof of address and identification documents for all people in their household.
The traditional Holidays Basketball tournament begins at 9 am in Sun Youth’s gymnasium. Eight games are scheduled for the third day.
