“Recyc-a-bike” kicks-off again November 2nd and 3rd
For an eighth consecutive year, Sun Youth teams up with Houle Toyota Scion, Specialized Canada, Radio NRJ and le Centre du Vélo Mascouche to collect used bicycles that will be redistributed to underprivileged Montreal families in June 2014. The various partners will work hand in hand to give a new life to the collected bicycles; these bikes will be stored at Houle Toyota and geared up by the good folks of le Centre du Vélo Mascouche during the winter. The distribution will once again be held next spring at Houle Toyota were the bikes will be given to families who benefit from Sun Youth’s services. Since the beginning of the Recyc-a-Bike venture, close to 3,000 bikes were distributed.
On November 2nd and 3rd, four collect points will be opened to donators who wish to give their used bicycles away. The public is invited to visit our volunteers from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in the following locations: Sun Youth – 4251, St-Urbain and Houle Toyota – 12305, Sherbrooke East. North Shore residents are invited to drop-off their used bicycles at Collège Saint-Sacrement in Terrebonne (901, Saint-Louis Street) while people from the South Shore can go to École Secondaire Saint-Joseph in Saint-Hyiacinthe (2875, avenue Bourdages Nord).
Sun Youth is looking forward to receiving your donations in the four previously-mentioned locations. Come in great numbers to the eighth annual Recyc-a-Bike (Recyc-Vélo) program, a generous initiative towards our Quebec families!
