Heroes on bikes

To encourage young people to surpass themselves and do good around them, Sun Youth is rewarding one hundred (100) young people aged 6 to 17 from the Greater Montreal area. On May 24, they’ll receive bikes, helmets, locks and reflectors.

If you know a young person who has stood out this year for their exceptional courage in a difficult situation, or for their impact in their community by being kind, generous or a leader, submit their candidacy by clicking the button below.

The more details we have about what makes the child stand out, the better his or her chances of receiving a bike. Don’t hesitate to take up all the space on the form for this description.

A simple bike can make a huge difference

For many young people, everyday life can be full of challenges. And in difficult times, a new bike as a token of appreciation can be a real ray of hope!

This event is open to children aged 6 to 17 living in the Greater Montreal area. To nominate a child for this year’s distribution, please complete the online application below (fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory). Remember, nominations must be submitted by March 31st, as applications received after this date will not be considered.

Last year’s winners

Theodore, 11 years old. 70 medical appointments and a brain biopsy never stopped this boy. Despite these challenges, he never stopped thinking of others. One by one, from his hospital bed, he made bracelets for each of his classmates and had the pleasure of handing them over to them as soon as he was able to return to class.

Michel, 13 years old. Bullied on the first day of high school, Michel turned his distress into strength through sports. With the support of his teachers, he discovered talent for cross-country running. He even went on to win medals and, in the process, became a model of resilience and pride for all the young people at his school.

Isabella, 13, launched Operation Hot Meals three years ago. With the help of family, friends, and neighbors, she served 400 meals to the homeless during the last holiday seasons, demonstrating great compassion and leadership.

Henri, 13 years old. When his little sister went missing, Henri took an active part in the search alongside police and volunteers. He never gave up hope, never stopped, until his little sister was found.
